It's raining

a slow steady drizzle, as only this island knows how, is wetting my thankful plants and keeping me cool. I still want the sunshine back but it's nice to not be in the slow cooker for a while.
I went to the skatepark yesterday with my little brother. He skated, I sat, watched, chatted, wiled away about 3 hours and feel the better for it.
Ended up down the pub later on with him and one of the youth workers there, who happens to be my ellusive neighbour, because I had to get cash from town cos I had none left at home to give away as pocket money (well drinks money, but what-hey!) and they asked me along to check out the ale in the pub they went to.
Glad I went. We sat and chatted and laughed for well over an hour over just the one pint. The ale was nice. Not sure what the lads had.. Refreshing anyway, like meeting the other neighbours down the road.
Hmmm. I've not bumped into them since and it's made me regret not popping a note through their door the next day to thank them for their welcome.
Had a great natter with a good mate last night. I'm feeling like life with Guy is quite close to a roller-coaster ride at the mo so it's nice to get a bit of support. I've felt really isolated apart from family the past few weeks. Don't even feel like telling mates about it, which is silly, but I do a lot of contacting and though it may be bad timing to do it right now, I'm going to take a little break and see who comes out of the woodwork... I'm glad I've had a number of Spring Harvest mates to chat with over the last couple of weeks. I've really needed it and totally appreciated it. You guys are lovely.

I checked my Bebo page again this morning and had a bit of a laugh at noticing again how, on a quiz, people have answered that my garden grows with a lawn and a paved area... I mean come on!! Paved areas don't grow!! I know I have one but it's the same size as it ever was... The marigolds on the other hand (when not scoffed by evilevil evil slugs and snails) do grow very nicely :)

I have to go to work later. Don't particularly feel like it.

My mind really is meandering as randomly as possible. I watched Howl's Moving Castle at long last last night. I loved it. I'm such a sucker for fairytales. Same cartoon house as Spirited Away. Excellent!
By the way, message for Wood: I got my copy of Spirited Away in France.
