I can hear my dad saying to me in his brightest, cheeriest (and most sarcastic) voice, 'School tomorrow, bright and early!'. As a protest I am still up at 12.30am although I have set my alarm for 6.30. Ok, I'm only protesting against myself, but there you go.
I still say, 'hooray for the holidays'. It's been very busy, but I got to drive a big van to Yorkshire and back and share in the delight of marriage prep with one of my best friends. It's nice to have all my stuff back at this end of the country, just have to finish selling the place now.
It was really wierd, having cleared out our flat, how soulless it felt. I spent two years worth of school holidays decorating it and yet the only thing I was really sad about was my living room carpet (which I chose). It's a funny old world... I guess the end of a chapter is the beginning of another.
PS any advice for a bride to be with an overbearing mother-in-law (to be) who doesn't want to let her little boy go whilst he can't see she's being overbearing...? Answers on a postcard (well not literally)...
