The St. George's Day Supper took place on Saturday, with a feast of roast beef dinner and choice of dessert, and a quiz where every answer contained the word 'George'. The winning team - which just happened to be a combination of Brass Band and Choir - won a box of chocolates, which was shared around the choir vestry the next day. This set us in a good mood to sing the day's two anthems, 'Day by Day' (How) in the morning and 'Be strong and of good courage' (Campbell) at evensong.
