Back to Llandaff Cathedral again for the weekend, but this time for a very special occasion: Grandchorister's baptism. It was hard work getting everyone ready and at the cathedral in time for the 9am Parish Eucharist, but somehow we all did it. Grandchorister appeared to enjoy the occasion - with only the tiniest of grizzles during the whole service, amusingly picked up by Rev. Julie's microphone. The parents and godparents looked very pleased and the little children, belonging to various friends and family members, only got a tiny bit bored. Sadly, the choir had only half returned from their Easter holiday and struggled to provide a lead in the 23rd Psalm and hymns (it is a very large space to fill). We then dodged the rain showers to enjoy some feasting, firstly at the Parish Hall, then at Jasper's tearooms, and finally to Aberdare Hall where we enjoyed a magnificent buffet lunch and Christening cake, made by Grandchorister's aunt.
