No sooner are we back than we are gone again. This time to Exeter Cathedral. After singing 'I give you a new commandment' (Aston) at the morning Eucharist, we packed our robes into the coach and trundled off to Exeter to deputise for their choir on their last evening off before resuming duties. It was a time for meeting old friends who had moved on to other places but managed to get to the cathedral when they heard we would be singing. I like reunions.
Singing at the cathedral is less nerve-wracking once you have done it a few times. We sang the Sweeney responses, Brewer in D canticles, Psalm 121 and Attwood's 'Teach me O Lord'.
