Today we sang the Thorne Mass again for a change. It's probably the one I know best off by heart, but after a long break there was still that uncertainty half-way through the 'Agnus Dei' - one of those 'oops, I was supposed to have come in there' moments. No problem with the anthem, though - the Iona hymn 'Bread is blessed and broken' is probably the easiest in our repertoire, simple but charming. A revitalising soup-with-yummy-bread-and-cheese lunch in the Parish Centre rounded off the morning and sent us off into the cold but bright almost-spring weather with effective internal heating.
