Thunder and Sunshine

The war in the heavenlies couldn't make up its mind today - would the storm win or the hot, sunny day? Went to church and let it make up its own mind; sang and listened to joyful, summery music anyway: Sumsion's 'Praise the Lord', and a jolly tune to process out to - Lefebure-Wely's Sortie.

The rain held off for lunchtime and the Youth Group walk, then rain followed by thunder once we were all back indoors (obviously the amateur weather forecaster in the group doing his stuff....)

Sang Balfour's 'Evening Hymn' tonight, and wanted to sing along to the Sermon as well, the theme of which was, 'tis the gift to be simple, tis the gift to be free, tis the gift to come down where we ought to be'....
