Went to a thoroughly enjoyable Coronation reconstruction in Exeter Cathedral - all the music of the original 1953 coronation, sung by the Exeter Cathedral choirs plus the Exeter Festival Chorus, and a band of trumpeters including one of the original trumpeters. Conducted by Nigel Perrin and Andrew Millington. The only thing missing was the Queen!
Sunday morning Eucharist without the choirmaster, who was on holiday. Sang 'Lead me Lord' by Wesley. Evensong anthem was 'Never Weather Beaten Sail', the one by Wood this time. We have got out of the habit of singing without a conductor, he will not be allowed to take holidays in future..... :)
