Had a preacher from Hospicecare this week - quite appropriate as three of our choir members have cancer at the moment. I know some people hate choirs, but I'd rather they didn't shove the pins into their voodoo dolls quite so viciously.....
Anthem today - 'Turn thy face from my sins' by Attwood, suitably appropriate for the Lenten season. I love the contrast between the soprano only, full choir repeat, sop. only, full choir repeat. Reminds me of Wesley's 'Lead me, Lord' but with rather more meat to it.
