The children going up to the altar steps to collect flowers for mum get older each year - one this year was 65.
The children (genuine ones this time) were given a real grilling during the children's talk, with questions which made 'Mastermind' look easy - they had to work hard for their flowers this year. Even the vicar was asked a question to make sure he hadn't fallen asleep....
A change from our usual repertoire - we sang 'take this moment' by John Bell, with the sort of tune which goes around and around in your head all day, whether you want it to or not. The Psalm was also an Iona version (Psalm 121: Lifting my eyes up to the hills).
