While getting the study back into its fit-for-working-and-being-in-state (see piccies below!) I spent a while deciding on what to read (that is the faith/time with God/Christian journey type reading) as this new year gets underway. Obviously the Bible, but I've decided to revisit Henri Nouwen and St. Paul; so my food for thought books are 'The Inner Voice of Love' and the 'BST commentary: The Message of Romans'. I'll let you know how it goes.
There are plenty more waiting in the sidelines too... I had a bit of a Basil Hume book-buying-fest last year so now have a whole bunch of books by and about him to read: Basil in Blunderland, Basil Hume by his Friends, Cardinal Hume A Spiritual Companion, Searching for God and Basil Hume The Monk Cardinal. You won't be surprised to hear that I find him rather inspiring!
