I have a cunning plan Mr. B!**

Well, a plan anyway!
I have a lovely big, semi-wilderness garden...

A meadow-like garden

Every so often in the summer months my friend's hubby comes round with his petrol mower and strimmer and tames the wilderness for me. Last summer he built me a compost bin in the bottom corner so that all the tamed bits had somewhere to go. Despite the fact that the garden looks more like a meadow and is impossible for me to look after properly, it's a lovely space and has all sorts of delightful flowers scattered throughout the 'lawn' - most significantly at the moment, a sea of bluebells.
But the garden does have another downside and that's its peculiar layout which means that it's not really very private. But today I came up with a plan! Along the side of the house is a space which has been getting cluttered up with rubbish and junk - so today I did two trips to the tip to get rid of all the rubbish, then I swept and cleared up the space and moved my bench round there. The plan is to create a nice little private area where I can sit and read and drink tea in a bit of seclusion. I have lots of empty garden pots so the next part of the plan is to gradually fill them with plants (what else) and bring some (shady) colour and character to my little corner. This also means that when I move I can just take my pots with me. I thought I'd take some pictures of the progress so here is picture one... rather plain with lots of concrete...
