I have been entertaining myself on and off this morning by reading old bits of moog's wiblog, which has been very interesting and has re-inspired me to do a lot more gluten free baking! I was diagnosed as Coeliac (requiring a very strict gluten free diet) about 19 years ago. Before that I used to do lots of baking, and earlier on, after the diet was introduced, I made a lot more effort too, but then I lost interest a bit and also being a busy single mum I didn't make time. Seeing the pictures of moog's gluten free sausage rolls, cheesecake and bread has made me wonder why I haven't cooked more of the things I enjoy. (The stocks of gluten free food in supermarkets has improved a great deal over those years, but there's still a lot that needs to be home baked if you're going to eat it!).
I was also thinking the other day about how difficult it is to eat out and how I should be more organised about having decent snacks in my bag (a Mars bar's fine for a quick sugar boost but doesn't do enough when you're out for the day... organisation that's what I need!).

Oh, and apparently I am an intelligent socialist...!
