A slow start this morning, which resulted in me taking both children to their respective destinations. Second born likes to listen to a tape. All that I had in the car was Ian White's "Faith Story". I think that second born enjoyed it. I certainly did. In fact, the effect on me was little short of miraculous. I was particularly grumpy as I tried to get ready to leave. By the time I was dropping second born at the nursery, I remembered that we are loved by a glorious God.
But is this the way to highlight his glory? (In case, dear reader, by the time you click on this link, things have changed again, I should tell you that Scripture Union has adopted the colour yellow, in a big way.) Why is it that visual makeovers seldom have the effect intended? But, whatever the hue, I say again - we are loved by a glorious God. And more than three cheers for Scripture Union for the way they've stuck at telling us this for so many years!
