A child's view

A wonderful concert yesterday evening, in an Edinburgh church. The singer was Ian White (link here). The guest singer was first born. During the interval, wife said to Ian White that first born wanted to sing him a song. I guess that he must have been impressed, because he invited her to do a slot during the second session. It was a song which, "she had written herself". Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that she had made it up herself. Anyway, every singer songwriter has to start somewhere.

After the concert, first born wanted Ian White to come home for a sleepover. Later, she suggested that he would like to listen to a CD of Stephen Fischbacher (another link). I, in my adult way, didn't really want to be telling Ian White that we were in the habit of listening to the music of a rival, but I could be wrong. I don't suppose that IW would particularly enjoy having to listen to himself all the time.

Incidentally, Stephen Fischbacher does a song called "Angry Hotel Man", which works well dramatised at this time of year,
