Where we live is a few miles from Edinburgh. This morning, I followed a route which involves heading inland, then approaching the city from a different direction. Although I was in sunshine, I could see that the Firth of Forth was filled with cloud.
I took advantage of the pleasant weather to enjoy a short walk about the University campus. I happened to see a Blood Transfusion van parked by the Students' Union. I walked over, to see if they would be interested in a pint of whatever flows through my veins. There was a notice on the receptionist's address that I should inform them if I had a cold. I've been sniffling for a day or two, so they suggested that now might not be a good time to give blood (for the sake of my own health). But it was an opportunity to update my address - I've moved twice since I lived where their record showed.
