Felt that what the vicar wrote in this month's church pamphlet was in some ways saying that parents should try harder to control their offspring in church. Have reached the point where making sure that our children behave themselves, and are reasonably happy, has become my main focus for the duration of the church service. Why do I attend church?
But it says in Matthew's gospel that an angel rolled the stone away (in fact, it seemed to me as I read it to-day that Matthew was saying that the women saw this happening), and that Jesus did not remain dead in the tomb. So, we soldier on. Maybe no dramatic burst of joy, witnessing the empty tomb, but a dogged resolution that says - he is alive.
Visited grandma. Amazed to see the transformation wrought by my brother, who's been helping her to tidy up. Only a beginning, maybe, but a significant difference. PTL, and well done, bruv.
