Purchasing Microsoft Money a few weeks ago was probably a good move, but it has focussed my attention somewhat on financial matters. We did need to take control. The only sermon I've been able to listen to for months happened to be about money. I have tried before to set and keep to a budget, but this package supplies some feedback, and forces me to be realistic.
The preacher commented that the average credit card debt in the UK (per person, I assume) is about £1400 (which, scarily, is roughly where we are). Sadly, I don't see a way to reduce this figure significantly in the short term, but, at least, knowing how much money is coming in, and where it's going, I should be able to prevent it from rising.
Quite enjoying this autumnal weather, and hoping for a weekend that isn't too stressed ...
