Since June 2002, there's been a park-and-ride service between Newcraighall and Edinburgh. The service isn't particularly frequent (half-hourly), or cheap (normal rail fares), but given to-day's constraints (an appointment at 12:30 in town, and a party to which daughter had been invited at 16:00 where we live) it seemed like a good idea to give it a try. Also, son loves trains, so it made the day into an outing.
Yesterday evening's concert was a real uplift. And daughter stole the show, being invited twice on stage to help demonstrate the actions. We had a wonderful time, finishing off with a congregational "Thine be the glory".
