Daughter's Rainbows took part in yesterday's Remembrance Day parade. She didn't want to be parted from her daddy, so I became a Rainbow for the day. It was daughter's first Remembrance service, and she was moved. 'Why did these men have to die?' she asked.

We ended up in the Parish Church, where the minister preached a barnstorming sermon, linking all sorts of remembrances together. I guess that he knew that he had an audience who wouldn't normally be in church.
