Somehow I can't imagine primitive person shutting up his/her cave for a couple of weeks while he/she relocated to somewhere with better weather (or spectacular scenery, or interesting buildings). So what was the first holiday? Perhaps I've been asking this because Sunday's sermon mentioned the Feast of Tabernacles, which must have fulfilled some of the functions of our present-day holiday.
