Wife and I saw the consultant this morning, to be told the results of Friday's scan. There is a new growth, impinging on both optic nerves where they cross over, in the vicinity of the pituitary gland. The decision about how to stop it has yet to be taken. Both chemotherapy and radiotherapy are in the frame. The best option (to my lay thinking) appears to be for them to start a course of chemotherapy, monitoring the lump, and only go for radiotherapy if chemotherapy doesn't appear to be working.
Deeply impressed by how carefully the doctors are thinking to work out the best way forward. Again, as we await the decision, life must go on.
