Knowing is better than not knowing

I have to say that I feel a whole lot better to-day than I did yesterday. For me, there are now issues which have to faced. Possibly, though, wife feels worse. She's seeing the doctor this afternoon on her own account. I believe that she has needed for some time to speak with a doctor about how to cope. I hope that now, particularly in the present crisis, she will be able to let the doctor know that she, herself, could do with some help.

Many, many thanks for your prayers and encouragement. We are gradually trying to let daughter know that things are going to happen, without being too specific. As yet, of course, there is much that we don't know ourselves, and there is no reason to prepare her for things that may never happen. To-morrow should be a good day. We are celebrating my mother's 80th birthday by going out for a meal. Daughter has suggested that we should try to arrive first, and hide somewhere. Then we can jump out when granny arrives, and shout 'happy birthday!'
