Didn't she do well!

Apologies for using somebody else's catchphrase, but, on this occasion, it fits. I was simply amazed at how patiently she lay still while they took an impression of her face to make the mask. And they're going to make a mask for Abigail as well, which daughter helped with. Also, amazingly, I met someone I know, but haven't seen for several years, in the coffee room. Circumstances where it sounds a bit hollow to ask 'how are you', but a pleasure to meet nevertheless.

But with half an hour to go before the appointment, I was the one who was stressed. I couldn't find anywhere to park within the hospital grounds, so I had to drop wife and daughter off while I took the car elsewhere. Eventually I parked by a nearby superstore - I have to question the logic whereby a city council allows a superstore to provide ample parking for its customers, but refuses to allow a hospital to do the same for its patients. For future appointments we shall be provided with a permit, but as we left there were no spaces in the designated area, and two cars were hovering, presumably ready to snap up any which became available.
