I'm supposed to be off sick to-day. I started to feel unwell midway through yesterday morning, and came home early to do the hospital run. Which went reasonably well. We got parked, got taken early (on a different machine, because 'our' machine was 'broken'), and stopped off at the big W on the way home, picking up a few bargains from the clearance box.
This morning, daughter reckoned that she wasn't well enough to go to school. I was feeling guilty, because yesterday we persuaded her to go to school, even though she didn't feel well, so I followed the course of least resistance, and let her stay at home with me. This afternoon, son should have gone with his sister to the hospital in the minibus, but tearfully asked to stay at home with daddy. So a day recovering has turned into a day childminding.
