There was a baptism at our church this morning. I was helping with what they call 'Kidz Klub', so came through just in time for the event itself. The baptismal font is at the back of the church (everyone having to twist around in their seats, except the baptismal party, standing alongside, and those accompanying children, seated on the floor). It was just going through my head that I couldn't work out who was holding the baby, when I realised that this was to be an adult baptism. I was possibly confused because a couple of people were making their vows, one, in fact, was restating his faith, while the lady was being baptised. Quite a moving occasion.
