A new experience - the place we're staying has internet access - so, God willing, there should be daily bulletins from Malcolm Sargent House.
To-day's weather has been reasonably kind. We took the direct route, which means a slow haul through one of the not-so-attractive parts of Scotland, but we had no reason to hurry. We had brought a packed lunch, which we hoped to consume before we arrived at our destination. In the event, in order to do so, we had to take a detour, which gave us the opportunity to observe some preparations for a certain golf tournament.
Here we are. A walk along the front has helped our digestive systems to process a pleasant tea. Son and daughter are in their pyjamas ready for supper. I won't go so far as to say that all's right with the world, but it's good to start to unwind.
