You will be expecting me, no doubt, to be supplying up-to-the-minute gossip about the Edinburgh Festival, except that I've somehow managed to avoid booking tickets for anything - except a concert which is happening a week on Friday - to which I am looking forward with anticipation. This has generally been my habit - to try and make a point of attending one event during the Festival. One day, I promise myself, I'll be in the position of having lots of free time, and be able to plunge into what's on offer.
But the weather has improved.
