Back to the Haematology and Oncology Clinic to-day; the last appointment of the afternoon. Gained a little understanding. The side effects of the radiotherapy only begin to appear two years down the line, because of the nature of the cells involved. But quite encouraging, because the doctors know what to look out for, and how to cope with each problem as it occurs.
And our family has acquired a new member. Mother and son brought home an item of plastic kitchenware which contained, they told me, three stick insects. In the event, only one seems to have survived the journey, and now inhabits a coffee jar (fairly-traded, of course), the lid pierced with three ventilation holes. Some leaves provide habitat and sustenance.
