Inspired by Tractor Girl's example, I thought that I would produce an M(P)H alphabet, based on my impressions of the day. As at least one newspaper has pointed out, there was an extraordinary mixture of viewpoints represented in Edinburgh. The effective slogan hides, evidently, huge complexity - regarding the nature of the problem, and its possible solution.

What was my agenda? Well, I would like to say that A is for Africa, but I have no first-hand knowledge of that continent, and I think that what I was, primarily, wanting to say was about us - that if we want to have a healthy society, then it must be based upon principles like being concerned about other people, not just ourselves. And that we shall get nowhere without justice. And, I suppose, that doing nothing is not an option.
