Our eight-year-old said to me in church: they're not really his body and blood, we're just remembering that he died. I agreed, though I know that 'other points of view exist'. And, I have to say, that taking communion a few moments later, not expecting anything magical to happen, but consciously remembering that Jesus died for me, was more profound than usual.
