For some reason, the University eschews the holidays earlier in May, and gives us Monday and Tuesday off this week, calling it Victoria Day. I've been trying to catch up with what's been happening to various bank accounts, which for various reasons I haven't had time recently to check up on. It turns out that one account has been going overdrawn for more than the agreed limit (which in this case isn't much), and we're being hit with charges. I've written to the manager of our branch to see if he can exercise clemency.
It really isn't much fun to be spending a holiday at the computer, but I'll be much happier if I can work out where the money is going, although I'd be even happier if our income exceeded our expenditure ...
