Just one word - how much does it mean? It's nice to visit granny, and I think that she enjoys having us, but it is a relief to be back in our own house again. But, disaster! I've left my Palm (a Tungsten E) behind. It may not be quite the end of the world, and I am planning to be at granny's mid-January (for the Martyn Joseph concert), but I do feel just a tiny bit bereft. It's my work one, as well, so I could be struggling until I get it back ...

I perhaps detect the hand of the naughty one. This is the year that I read through the bible, and I've got it nicely on the Palm (from eReader.com), and I was doing pretty well (just 2 days in). Well, I think that the licence allows me to load it up on my other Palm. Yes, isn't it sad - I own 2 Palms (well, 3, actually, if you count the HandSpring Visor Deluxe, which is effectively retired). The second Palm is my 'home' one, so that I can keep my work life and my home life separate. Why did I take my work Palm to granny's, you ask? Well, it comes back to the big project, to read through the bible in a year. My best chance to read will be on the bus to work, when, of course, I shall have my work Palm with me (except, sob, that I shan't, for the next couple of weeks, because it's at granny's). So I shall have to take my home Palm to work (but I'll try not to let it know what I'm doing, so it doesn't start to think of itself as a work Palm). I shall be blogging the journey, but not here (I don't know how interesting it will turn out to be, and, of course, you lot have all read through the bible from cover to cover several times already). My other blog - Visor Thoughts - is the place to visit if you are interested.

Back to work on Thursday. Planning to visit grandma (my mother-in-law) to-morrow.
