Karin, you are an absolute marvel! This morning I opened a package (which, to be fair, probably arrived yesterday), which turned out to contain a lovely birthday card, and a copy of "The 100-Minute Bible", with a post-it note attached, saying, "Plan B?" Regular readers of this wiblog will know that on 1st January I set out to read through the bible in one year, and that on 6th February (well, very early on 7th February) I realised that I wasn't going to make it.
Congratulations, Steve Fossett, for managing to complete 99.99% of your spectacular project, and especially for no doubt causing immense frustration for the newscasters assembled in Kent.
But none of the foregoing explains the title of this entry. Daughter and Son are not great eaters. So, for tea, I put considerable effort into preparing a dish from The Dinner Lady, but said to them that I would be happy as long as they tried it. I (to be honest) didn't really think that it was safe to make this the main course (for them). Cue general turning up of noses, and a cry of, "Bring on the sausages!" But I shall try again. And, by the way, Wife and I agreed that Tom's Sweet and Sour Chicken is delicious.
