Celebrity's scooter has been stolen. She left it just inside our local Co-op while we went to look for Easter eggs (there weren't any left, as it happened). We bought just a couple of things (well, a trio, I suppose), but when we went to collect her scooter, it was gone. We've called the police, and Beloved and Celebrity have toured the part of the town where the scooter is most likely to have ended up, but no sign.
I was saying to Celebrity that she's a victim, and that this is the day when we remember the most famous victim of all. A bit of a downer.
And we're trying to decide which church to attend to-morrow. We don't particularly want to go to our own, because last Sunday, when the children went forward for Communion, they refused to let Gardener have any wine. 'The gifts of God for the people of God', which implies, I guess, that they don't consider Gardener to be a person of God. I suppose that 'the gifts of God for the people of God whom we consider it's OK to offer them to' wouldn't sound so good.
