Or should I say, day -11; counting down to our holiday, and, obviously, preferring to tie up some loose ends before I go. But we're back to the story of the snail climbing out of the well - crawling 3 feet during the day, and then slipping back 2 overnight - sometimes it feels more like 2 forward and 3 back.
I suppose that a more comforting reference would be Jesus' saying that 'sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof' (I belong to a generation which, being exposed to the Authorised Version early in life, retains certain phrases more readily in an ancient language - is it their very incomprehensibility that has caused them to stick?). And it does help, when I admit that there is no way that I shall resolve every issue facing me in the course of a day - some constructive procrastination is called for (my breakfast reading, however, is Jeffrey Sachs' The End of Poverty, wherein he claims that hyperinflation can be stopped in one day).
So just what is to-day's 'evil thereof'? I suppose, necessarily, this afternoon's course - an introduction to our in-house identity management system (I kid you not). This is version 1.0.
