- we achieved our primary objectives
- a uniform for son, who is starting Beavers
- some Brownie stuff for daughter
- we had lunch in St George's West. Edinburgh
- NOT McDonalds
- I understand that daughter needed trousers for school, and tights, which were somehow obtained, though possibly not optimally
- we are still a family, although somewhere along Rose Street this was, apparently, not such a good idea
- son is a bit worried, because
- I pointed out that astronomers believe that our sun will eventually become a red giant, engulfing our earth
- son is reassured, because
- Jesus will return before this happens
- and, anyway
- he (son) will be dead, long before all this happens
- and in heaven
- but
- what about my dad
- and my wife's dad
- who were not Christians
- are they in heaven?
