Last Monday (I think it was), I discovered jaiku. I've so far resisted facebook, but this has got me hooked. I read somewhere a description of twitter, and thought, "that's not for me." I was clearly wrong - jaiku and twitter are pretty similar, and already I'm finding it hard to live without the former.
The funny thing is - this whole phenomenon was pioneered on the wibSite. A Jaiku blog is like a series of 'Out and about's (plus feeds, and ordinary entries that are restricted to the same size). And I came across this on flickr.
I think that what I like about microblogging is that it suits my way of communicating. I generally struggle to produce a blog entry of more than a paragraph - but on jaiku and twitter, my terse statements just blend in.
