pay it Forward

blogged a while ago about encountering Kilmarnock Edition doing a gig (their first ever) in a church near where we live / well, their CD is just out, and it's a cracker / it's called Pay It Forward, and you can buy it from GreenTrax Recordings ...

I would say that this is relaxed, democratic music making / a coming together of different styles, and talents / I tend, naturally, on first listening, to remember a fast, upbeat number, such as the title track, 'pay it forward', or the quirky narrative, 'how can we live?' / then, to appreciate the gentle 'find your smile', and the poignant 'isabella' / shouldn't really be picking tracks out like this - they're all memorable ...

and I've particularly enjoyed this CD, during and after a tiring couple of days in hospital with daughter, who has come through the surgery much brighter than on previous occasions / hopefully everything will settle again over the next few weeks / ready for the school term / which (in Scotland) is getting awfully close ...
