Regular readers may be familiar with the Stacey Stroll - an annual charity event, where supporters walk across the Forth Road Bridge and back, hoping to be sponsored to raise money for CCLASP, who support the families of children affected by cancer and leukaemia. An added interest this year was to be the presence of a film crew, who are making a documentary about the charity.
But, winds (though not as strong as last Monday's) prevented us from going on to the bridge. Instead. we met up in South Queensferry, and, for the benefit of the film crew (I guess), appeared to set off along the coast, and return. It was a busy afternoon, though - filling in forms to say that we and our children would be happy to appear on the television. And our daughter was interviewed.
South Queensferry does afford good views of both Forth Bridges - here's the Road Bridge - in its elegant spendour (contrasting with the more famous, and chunkier Rail Bridge):
