What to blog about?

I wasn't at Greenbelt. On Saturday, we (wife, me, daughter, and son) visited my mum (known as granny). It took us 2 trains to get there, and 3 to get back - no complaints there - son enjoys trains - but I would have preferred not to have had to change at Waverley (of course, we could have got off at Haymarket ...). It was quite nice that on the outward journey we went north and then west, while coming home we went south and then east - we were given a tour of central Scotland at no extra charge (although I reckon that going by train is definitely more expensive than it should be).

Yesterday, I gave blood. What I particularly appreciated was the way that the chap looking after me explained everything to daughter who was accompanying me - even allowed her to squish the bag of blood.

To-day was counselling session number three. Tiring. Difficult. Still trying to find the light at the end of the tunnel. Which reminds me of something which happened when we were on the train. The lights had gone off, and we entered the tunnel just east of Waverley Station. Complete darkness. Was cool to be able to turn on the light with which my mobile phone is handily equipped. Which segues neatly into the photo taken this very morning for the 365 project (taken by a combination of natural light and the phone light):

[Please note that I am not a fan of the "Footprints" poem - it just happens to be fixed to the cupboard door in front of me.]
