I'm blogging when drunk ...
But, as the Romans used to say, in vino veritas ... and I remember going to a play in the Citizens Theatre, Glasgow (is it still there, Jack?), probably by 7:84, whose thesis appeared to be that drink, basically, allowed Scots people to express emotion. We're not, normally, allowed to let people see how we feel (it's against our religion), but if we've drunk something alcoholic (try spelling that after 3 glasses of wine), then it's the drink speaking, not us.
And I'm making up for a leaving do at lunchtime to-day where I didn't allow myself a glass of wine (or beer) because I was on the desk this afternoon.
