Pokemon Easter

We had discovered that on Easter Sunday there was to be a Pokemon Event in a Game store in Glasgow (none in Edinburgh, sadly). It would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to download a Shaymin, which son has called 'cute'.

So, we found ourselves waiting on the platform of Wallyford Station, for a train to Edinburgh, whence another train would take us to, supposedly miles better, Glasgow. And if any high heedyins from ScotRail are reading this, I am showering praise on the conductor of the train from North Berwick, who sold us our tickets as we drew into Waverley, and pointing the finger at you, who trumpet your 'child goes free' offer on your website, but then don't allow the offer to be claimed on your ticket machines in unstaffed stations. If we had gone to the ticket office in Waverley station to buy our tickets retrospectively, we wouldn't have caught our connection to Glasgow.

The Pokemon Event turned out to be a young lady sitting behind a booth. Thankfully, son knew what to do, and acquired two Shaymins, one for himself, and one for a friend. I asked her where I could find an Azure Flute, but she wouldn't tell me.

Honestly, this is all true ...
