am sort of living by myself this week - two housemates are away (one on hols, one visiting family), other housemate spends quite a bit of time out of the house. We've lived together for 3 years. It's cool for a week as i do appreciate my own space, but the way we live allows for that whilst having all the nice bits; we cook together and are close friends but all do our own stuff as well. As i say it's quite nice as a novelty but i appreciate just how well we get on and how important it is to share your life with good people. Aw.
The sander was rubbish. Well, it was ok, but it would take months to do the whole floor. Tried to take it back but as i've used it (like, for 10 mins) they wouldn't take it back. fair enough. Am going to hire a fantastic industrial one instead when the time comes. That needs to be soonish, cos the painted floorboard now sports a conspicuous gap in the paintwork where i had a go with the sander. Should have tried it where the rug goes really. oh well.
Finally, did much sport yesterday evening and now my stomach feels like it is washboard. It really really isn't, but it's a good feeling.
