i went to a gig (warchild benefit), ben okafor followed by martyn joseph followed by bruce cockburn. Outstanding, outstanding and outstanding respectively. martyn can do no wrong, ben was excellent - first time i'd seen him live although i have a cd of his (bought at greenbelt a couple of years ago purely because I was working on contributors reception and Ben Okafor was outstandingly nice to us).
Bruce cockburn - well, I was thoroughly enjoying the quality of the guitar playing and did very much like the stuff, resolved to buy a cd or two. The last song he played though, not on a cd anywhere and only just written, started 'don't tell me there is no mystery' - sadly I can't really remember any more but can't wait for it to be released or for the lyrics to appear somewhere on the internet. quite a Moment.
