got builders in tomorrow - they're dampproofing (that probably doesn't have 2 Ps, but it should), putting the through lounge back to two rooms, treating the whole house to woodworm treatment and then rebuilding the living rooms in a skirting board and skimming kind of way. So this morning I thought it would be a great idea to take everything out of the living room area and take up the carpet. All was going fine until something possessed me to try and move the big sofa into the kitchen... i got stuck, so did the sofa, and I had to concede defeat. Now I have to make sure that me and my housemate are both in the house at the same time long enough to move the sofas and the telly (which is probably heavier...) before tomorrow morning.
And I have a deadline tomorrow, which despite having worked all hours (I had thursday night off last week to celebrate the phd funding success...) I still think I'm not going to have the stuff done. At least I'm seeing the people I need to see though to establish the way forward. Have read far too much.
