and it's the end of august? How did that happen so fast?
since the previous entry I've been to France, turned 31, read the Bandini Quartet (John Fante), read 'how to get a phd' (while my enthusiasm is still up there), spent too much time in work, pulled up almost every carpet in the house, taken the dining room table apart, watch several episodes of 'spaced' and the simpsons, reaped the benefits of having put a fiver on south africa winnning the tri nations, ordered some stuff off amazon cos i have no time to go to real shops at present, seen 'dodgeball' and a couple of dvds with friends (saturday was a great morning after kind of day), remortgaged two houses, thrown a little party, played a bit of poker and rediscovered kalhua.
bloody hell.
in addition, I have no living room floor. Surreal.
