i'm off to greenbelt - when I leave work I'm going to buy a laptop and take the recycling followed by a band rehearsal till 10ish after which i'll pop to tesco to do my greenbelt food shop, go home, have my dinner and pack. STAGE 2 SUNDAY 3.40 PM in case anyone on the planet who has ever met me is still slightly unsure...
will be interesting going to the bloggers gathering. i'm still slightly unnerved by the geek factor of meeting other people I'm aquainted with through the internet although I spose some of my favourite real-life people were met that way. reading the blogs of people you've never met and don't know on any other forums is odd; feels like a bit of an eavesdrop depending what they write about. seen some outstanding blogs with emerging church/ alt worship themes that i never knew existed from having had glances at the ones linked from the greenbelt blog thread - good to see connections and get a flavour of how people perceive their relationship to church. I am supremely confident that I won't remember who said what or who anyone is when meeting them in real life; I think though it will make reading people's blogs afterwards a better thing. Like other web forums, the words are certainly enough but they have a particular resonance when you have an idea of who's behind them. See you all there, anyway.
