it was in a garage, and would have remained there. i can understand this; sentimental attachment of owner to first cello + aquiring a superior cello = first cello kept in parents garage. But then if somebody comes along who looks like they will give it a loving home then you send it off to that Better Place. And chalky is delighted (although it does need a new c-string, which i should be able to sort out tomorrow).
