there were six wibloggers in one place at one time last night. we had a picture taken. probably the most wibloggers in one place at one time since the launch of the blogs.

That was at the third gathering i attended last night. Caught the first bit of peter's leaving do (the rugby club one, the church one is next week), then went to meri's birthday thing (everyone else was already there, but it was ok) and then to the wood towers 'do' where the bloggers were hiding.

yesterday day was lovely too, had planned to do uni work but then was reminded that it was the church away day, we have them every so often, i think the last one was last january (aha! i see a pattern emerging). Anyway last year we were talking about the lack of kid's work and what we were going to do about it. This year we were talking about how Alan has just become employed by us, and tomorrow (ie today) sunday mornings change, so the kids have a proper meeting before the adult meeting. I played sax for the kids meeting - it was brilliant (the meeting, not my sax playing, which wasn't brilliant in fact). Anyway - yesterday - in the morning we were hearing from a few people about things that are going on in and around church (the youth cafe in mumbles and associated projects, the kids/community stuff being started up now in west cross, peter who's off to china soon, and i can't remember anything else) and then in the afternoon we split into smaller groups and were asked to say stuff to each other about what our little thoughts and dreams were, seeing as we'd heard about the wider church stuff in the morning, it was time for the micro things. Was brilliant. Then we got back into the big group again and a few people said what people in their group had been saying, it was all very democratizing and good to hear what the church is doing and hoping for and enthusiastic about in a more individual sense. Like, in the morning it was 'this is what we're doing as a group' which is always the result of someone having a bright idea and following it through, and in the afternoon it was more 'this is what we're into as individuals', it was good. Good sense of the body encouraging the body, each bit doing its bit both into and out of the community of faith. Ahhhh.
